2 Graduation Credit Requirements There are 2 ways to graduate State Requirements or College Preparatory Requirements To complete either plan these courses are mandatory: 4 Years of English 3 Years of Science 3 Years of Math College Prep requires Algebra II, while State allows Math of Finance 3 Years of Social Studies/History

3 Graduation Credit Cont’d To complete the College Prep Plan they must also have: 2 Years of a Foreign Language Students have the option of Computers or Spanish 1 Additional Year of any Core Class The subject must be either English, Math, Social Studies/History, or Science 2013 Seniors will need 24 credit to graduate

4 Concurrent To be eligible to take Concurrent Classes, Seniors must have: Composite of 19 on ACT or 900 on SAT HS GPA of 3.0

5 ACT vs. SAT ACT Given 6 times/year 4 Sections (optional Writing) English, Math (up to Trig), Reading, and Science Reasoning NO Penalty for Wrong answers Highest possible score of 36 For more info: http://act.org/ http://act.org/ SAT Given 6 times/year 10 Sections 3 Critical Reading, 3 Math (up to 9 th Grade level), 3 Writing, and 1 Experimental ¼ point deduction for every wrong answer Highest possible score of 2400 For more info: http://www.collegeboard. org/ http://www.collegeboard. org/

6 ACT Prep – NSU From 5:30-7:30pm October 23, 24, & 25 December 4, 5, & 6 At NSU Campus at Broken Arrow or NSU Campus at Tahlequah $75.00 for 3 nights or $30.00 per night For more info call (918) 444-4617

9 ACT Security Changes Students must bring an acceptable photo ID and Admission Ticket with you on test day to be allowed to take the test. Students must upload a photo with registration which will be used for identification purposes Must tell your gender and include high school code on registration NO more test day Stand-by testing

10 Residual ACT Past ACT exams given on public and private school campuses, appt only Scores may only be used for admissions and scholarships at the campus test was taken Residuals can only be taken once every calendar year at public institutions

11 NCAA – Nat’l Collegiate Athletic Assoc. Register your Sophomore Year at www.eligibilitycenter.org www.eligibilitycenter.org It is recommended that you send in an official transcript the end of your junior year Take ACT or SAT and send NCAA your scores (code 9999) Make sure you are on track required amount of core courses Senior Year Request final amateurism certificate (beginning April 1)
