 The solution based on Mobile Phone (MP) sensors only (Pressure sensor, Gravity sensor and the GPS module).  The sensor fusion concept can be applied on all the following domains: ◦ Automotive ◦ Aviation ◦ Shipping ◦ Drones  For this Weekathon trial, we have focused on applying the concept on a aviation domain. Specially for the General Aviation and the light sport aircrafts categories.

Interrogation Response Identification Transponder Position The typical TCAS system is based on: 1.Transmitting signal and measuring the round trip time (RADAR). 2.Decoding the Aircraft Transponder signals.

Resolution Advisories Traffic Advisories When a TA is issued: Pilots are instructed to initiate a visual search for the traffic causing the TA. If the traffic is visually acquired, pilots are instructed to maintain visual separation from the traffic. When an RA is issued, pilots are expected to respond immediately to the RA, unless doing so would jeopardize the safe operation of the flight.

1. Situational and air traffic awareness. 2. Warning and advisory system. 3. Mandatory for the Airline category aircrafts 4. Cost between $25,000-$150,000 5. Not affordable for most of the General Aviation (GA) and light sport Category aircrafts.

 Implemented on a Mobile Phone.  Utilizing the common sensors comprised in the Mobile Phone, including the GPS module.  The Data exchange based on : ◦ Cloud service (Cellular 3G/4G). ◦ Ad-Hoc Communication System. ◦ Integration of the two above.

Ad-Hoc Based Communication Sensor Data exchange such as: speed. Altitude. Position Course User Data Exchange such as: Call sign Aircraft Type. Traffic Frequency Channel. Cloud

Call sign Aircraft type Altitude Position Course Destination Traffic clearance zone Cloud Server All Aircraft in Traffic clearance zone Cloud Server: Holds database of all Aircrafts in the zone. Call sign, Aircraft type, Altitude, Position, Course… Sends all the traffic info inside the clearance zone. In future - “Waze Like” application for aviation traffic. Call sign Aircraft type Altitude Position Course Destination Traffic clearance zone Aircraft to Server Data: Server to Aircraft Data:

 Mobile Phone application. ◦ Affordable ◦ Available to everyone.  No need of Transponders or any other equipment. ◦ Most of LSA- Light Sport Aircraft are not equipped with Transponders.  360 degrees intruder alert and advisory.  Potentially “Waze Like” application for aviation domain. Transponder

Yesterday, after 3 day of development only, we have visited at the customer’s site - Hertzeliya Airfield (LLHZ), the center of the General Aviation activity in Israel. Lets see the results: https://youtu.be/jUzUYujqPzs
