The Water Cycle

What is the water cycle? The water cycle is the constant recycling of water through the atmosphere and the Earth

How does water cycle work? Evaporation Condensation Precipitation Collection

The Water Cycle, step-by-step The sun provides energy that allows water to evaporate. Water vapor rises, or evaporates, into atmosphere. Water vapor condenses into clouds. The water droplets in clouds become too large and fall back to Earth as precipitation Plants collect water and then release it back into atmosphere Soil collect water, which evaporates back into atmosphere Yellow Bead Clear Bead Red Bead Blue Bead Green Bead Brown Bead

Very cool Water Cycle Facts The water you drink everyday is the same water that existed when the dinosaurs roamed the Earth! The water in plants does not evaporate! – Plants go through a process called transpiration (basically when plants “sweat”)

Homework In your own words, describe how your bracelet represents the entire water cycle. Be sure to use these words in your answer: – Evaporation – Condensation – Precipitation
