1. Welcome to the Pre-Summer 2014 Parent’s Meeting

2. ILC Youth Mission Statement Our youth ministry exists to Energize students’ lives with other believers, Expose them to the gospel, Educate them to be mature Christ followers, Encourage lives of worship, and Enable them to act in the church and the ends of the earth.

4. CAR WASH Saturday, May 23 rd @ Advanced Auto Parts from 10 AM to 2 PM. WE NEED EVERYONES HELP! We also need your car washing supplies, so please bring them to youth group.

6. Bike and Burger Rally Day Thursday, June 4 th Leaving from Jefferson Elementary parking lot at 10:00 AM. Bring money for lunch at Burger King. Afternoon at Starbucks Coffee Thursday, June 11 th Meet at 1:00 P.M. and bring money and your favorite card game. June Activities

7. June 14 th – 18 th

8. June 25th We will meet at the church to carpool over to the AMC 10 in Mattoon for a matinee of “Inside Out”. Students will need to bring money for tickets and concessions. Times are T.B.A.

9. July Activities Moonshine Lunch Trip Thursday, July 9 th We will be going to the renowned burger barn in Martinsville. We will be leaving at 10:00 AM! Geek Out Game Day Thursday, July 2 nd at 1:00 PM Bring your favorite consol or PC to the youth room and we will play some games. Snacks provided

July 14th Cow Appreciation Day and trip to Sky Zone Jump Park Thursday, July 14 th – In Plainfield (West Indianapolis), IN If you participate lunch at Chic-fil-a is FREE, and admission to the park is $15! RSVP and waivers will be required for the day event! We plan on departing at 8:30 AM and returning by 4:00 PM.

11. July Activities Cont’ Garden of the Gods Camping Trip Sat., August 1st– Sun., August 2 nd Forms will be available at our Summer Celebration Party on May 29 th. All forms are due by July 14 th, and must be delivered to Kyle by each family. Swimming at Libby’s Thursday, July 23rd at 1:00 PM Bring a towel and a friend!

12. MAY SERVICE PROJECT AND DEVOS This month, with everyone’s schedules being “hectic” at best, we are encouraging the youth to do their own service project and share about it at youth group, as we will talk about service for the nights of May 17 th and 31 st.

15. Super Soaked and Slimy Sundays This summer will be filled with wet and wild games. We are talking about water balloon fights, squirt guns, and shaving cream, and everybody knows that when teenagers and these types of activities are combined, there are no innocent bystanders. Make sure you send them with a towel and modest clothes that they can get messy in!

16. Fundraisers and Service Events Now that it’s summer we will be taking a break on fundraisers, and will pick up our “third Sunday” meals in August. As for service projects, we will going on the mission trip in June and then taking it easy in July, unless a small opportunity arises for us to participate in on a Sunday Night.

17. Volunteers We appreciate all parents help by being on our volunteer roster. As a thanks for you making time for this meeting please grab “first dibs” on the schedule marker board so that your evening on deck will not conflict with any vacations. We will fill in the remainders.
