5. Galatians 6:1 Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Are we ensnared?

6. 2 Timothy 2:24-26 And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, 25 correcting his opponents with gentleness. Do we lose our senses?

Proverbs 3:5-8 Trust in the L ORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. 7 Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the L ORD, and turn away from evil. 8 It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.

14. v. 19 The Natural Man is Often Overpowered, Falls Sin = to miss the mark, Hebrews 10:29 describes sin explicitly How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has spurned the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace?

19. vv. 23-24 The Natural Man Can be Free (of sin, guilt, hating self, etc.)  Temptation never goes away 1 John 1:8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1 Peter 1:13 Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

20. But the Lord will meet you more than half way… Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
