I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

1. Every step must be done IN THE SPIRIT. 2. Every Word must be done IN THE SPIRIT. 3. Every deed must be done IN THE SPIRIT. 4. Every Thought must be done IN THE SPIRIT. Colossians 3:17… And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

Joy is the state of being happy, delightful, and Joyful. Joy is the noun. While REJOICING is the verb. Philippians 4:1… Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Where is Paul when he is writing to the Philippians? Philippians 4: 12-13, 19 12But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel, 13so that it has become evident to the whole palace guard, and to all the rest, that my chains are in Christ; 14and most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. 19For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

Mathew 5:10,12… Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11“Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12“Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Many Christians complain, because they do not have the fruit of the Spirit in them.

Ephesians 2:1,2… And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, Ephesians 2:5… even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), Don’t you see a reason for rejoicing here?

Romans 5:8… But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 1 Peter 3:18… For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, Don’t you see a reason for rejoicing here? 1 Timothy 1 :15… This is a true saying, and everyone should believe it: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners and I was the worst of them all.

2 Corinthians 8:9… 9For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. 1 Corinthians 4:8… 8You are already full! You are already rich! You have reigned as kings without us—and indeed I could wish you did reign, that we also might reign with you! Don’t you see a reason for rejoicing here?

James 2:5… Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? Revelation 2:9… “I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Don’t you see a reason for rejoicing here?

Ephesians 2:12,13… that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 3:6… 6that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel, 2 Peter 3:13… 13Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Don’t you see a reason for rejoicing here?

This is a good question! Matthew 28:9 … 9And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him.

John 15:11 … “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. Luke 10:21 … In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in your sight.

What is the reason my brother for you not having any joy? 1 Timothy 6:8 … And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.

In Canada we have more than food and clothing.

Nothing can be accomplished in our lives if we don’t have joy and determination to live our lives in real joy that can only be found in God’s word. Galatians 5:22,23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
