6  Describe the position of the British Isles in relation to the tectonic plates. [1]  Describe fully the pattern of features of the earth's crust shown on the map. [4]

7  The plate margin between the Nazca plate and the South American Plate is destructive. Annotate the diagram to explain how volcanic eruptions occur along such plate margins [2]

8  The photograph below shows a pyroclastic flow. Explain how people living close to such a volcano may be affected by these flows. [2]  Explain why the effects of volcanic eruptions are often more severe when they occur in LEDC's rather than MEDC's. [6]
