1. A Cursory Look—for more help, ask!

2.  Find Window’s Movie Maker and open it  It looks like this:

3.  Begin using Movie Maker  It looks like this:

4.  Start putting your cool pictures and stuff into the project collection  Click here to do this:

5.  You can also just click the handy links labeled:  Import pictures  Import video  Import audio or music

6.  Make sure you are in the timeline mode (it’s my fav.) Click here to change views/modes

7.  Start dragging your media to the storyboard to create your movie

8.  Continue overlaying media  Drag pics and arrange  Drag video and arrange  Drag in drop is where it’s at!

9. Would you like words with your images?

10.  Click on “Make Titles or Credits”

11.  Click on the option that you want (I’m going to trust you can read on this step )

12.  Type up the words you want and play around with it

13.  Click “Done, add title to movie”

14.  Play around with length of title and placement  Here, or here  One goes on top of your pics and one in the middle of your pics

15. Slide transitions

16.  Slide transitions are ways of going from one picture to the next.  They can add shape or dimension to a picture  You’ve used them in PowerPoint I’m sure

17.  The awesome video we watched on Wed (4/6) did not use transitioning too often  Transitions can get old fast or be too much  They can take away from the power of your words or images

18.  Take a look at that task list you’ve been using  Check out the circled area and follow directions  Hey, you’re fancy now, you don’t need detailed instructions

19.  There are lots more items you can play with  Editing clip length  Fooling around with animation  Playing with the timing of your words and images Wow me and teach me something!

20. It is imperative to save the movie the right way or you will be very upset

21.  Your pics, vids, etc. are only on YOUR computer. If you don’t save correctly, you will not be saving the whole movie…it is upsetting when this happens…trust me 

22.  Be sure to click on save to my computer  Be sure to follow all directions (pretty easy)  IMPORTANT: When you save, it needs to be saved on your H drive!

23.  Upload to the wiki  You can put the file on the wiki  You can create a plug-in  You can do some other fancy thing that I don’t know about!
