Data and information are increasingly recognized as enterprise assets. Data management is the development, execution and supervision of plans, policies, programs and practices that control, protect, deliver and enhance the value of data and information assets. Data management is an important function for enterprises in the Information Age. Data management is a shared responsibility between business data stewards and data management professionals.
