Hassan Al-Najjar

Should the animal be used for scientific research? Is it humanly?

Vivisection Is another name of experiments on animals, literally meaning the cutting of live animals.  There are different points of view on the question, should animals be used for scientific research and is it humanly or not.

The main types of experiments performed on animals include:  Well as education and training.  Biomedical research.  Genetic engineering, testing products.

Opponents of vivisection Claim that they also wish to improve human health, but not at expense of animals that do not belong to human race. According to them, the role of the animal studies in the promotion of human health is exaggerated.

Animal use is not justified As the doctor Ralph Heywood, former supervisor of Huntingdonshire research center in the UK (a large consumer of animals for research) said: “the best rough estimate for the correlation of adverse reactions based on toxicity data for animals and humans is somewhere between 5 and 25%”. In other words, animal testing, at the best, will find one of the four side effects of the drug on man. However, we don’t know which of these four side effects common in people until you test this drug on few people. As we see, the uses of animals are more not justified, then otherwise.
