Chinese New Year starts on the first day of the new moon occur in each spring, it is also known as the 'Spring Festival' Chinese New Year is the longest and most important festival in the Chinese calendar. It ran from the first day of the Chinese New Year to the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first month (Full moon day). This year it falls on the 10th of February 2013 and is the year of the snake.
