2 Looking at, Gathering, and Testing

3 The students attended the Bartrum Gardens and completed water analysis on the Delaware River. They collected the temperature of air, water, and the surrounding soil, dissolved Oxygen, Carbon dioxide, pH, nitrogen levels, phosphate levels, and fecal count of the water. They also reviewed environmental issues that affect the water shed and global warming. The pictures that follow include what tests they perform with Cathy the teacher/scientist. There was a short discussion of the watershed and pollutants that affect it. Then, the next day we went into the classroom to test the river water near the school. We compared the results of the two sites.
