4  What determines a psychological disorder?  Clinical Criteria:  1.) Deviance – Behavior deviates from what society considers acceptable  2.) Maladaptive – Behavior interferes with person’s everyday functioning  3.) Personal Distress- Behavior causes person some distress  Diagnosis issues
