The Story of Our Lady of Guadalupe  The story of how Santa Maria de Guadalupe revealed herself to Juan Diego is of great historical importance to the spreading of Catholicism in Mexico.  Juan Diego found Our Lady of Guadalupe on the top of Tepayac Hill, she told him to run to the nearest Bishop and tell him of all she told him so that she may let all followers of Catholicism experience her kindest and religious teachings.  He told the Bishop Fray Juan de Zumarraga, but he had no proof other than the words that Our Lady of Guadalupe had told him. He wished to return to Our Lady of Guadalupe to tell her this, but his uncle became ill and he had no choice but to abandon his mission and care for his uncle.

The Story of Our Lady of Guadalupe: Part 2  Near his uncle's death he was asked to call on a Bishop to perform the last rites of his uncle, but little did he know that he had to walk to Tepayac Hill to get him.  At the top of Tepayac Hill he once again found Our Lady of Guadalupe, she told him it was only right for him to take care of his uncle, and for his kindness, she would restore his uncle's health. She gave him a bouquet of Castillian roses and told him "This is the sign that I send to the Bishop to prove that I am here".  He returned to the Bishop, but found when he revealed the roses to him in their place was a painting of Our Lady of Guadalupe
