Allows man to talk with God
Allows God to communicate by writing and speech
Allows man to do God’s work here on earth
Animals don’t have same kinds of minds
Allows man to think and reason like God
Man’s emotions…
Emotions are our feelings: joy, sadness, anger, etc.
God has emotions: kind/loving toward His children, angry at sin
Allow man to love God
Man’s will…
Man’s ability to choose
What decisions do you make throughout the day?
God did not give a will to sun, moon, stars, etc.
Allows man to choose to love and obey God

8. The Creation of Adam Genesis 1:27 Genesis 2:7
God created man first, then woman
God named the man, “Adam”
God made the man, but he still didn’t have life.
Only God could give Adam life
God breathed life into Adam
27So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
