3 To form the plural of some nouns ending in f or fe, change f or fe to v and add –es: wolf wolves; knife knives. To form the plural of a noun that ends in a vowel followed by o, add –s: radio radios. To form the plural of a noun that ends in a consonant followed by o, add –s, or –es: cello cellos; potato potatoes. A collective noun names a group. It can be singular or plural. The band practices daily. DAY 1

Some nouns have irregular plural forms. These plurals do not end in –s.: goose geese; tooth teeth; person people. Some nouns, like fish, stay the same whether singular or plural. Ex. The deer stands in the yard. The deer live in the zoo. DAY 2
