5. BEFORE ASSUMING YOUR DUTIES In order to access the restricted pages of the Pony Club website www.ponyclub.org and your Center’s online record, you will need a UserName and password. Every parent, leader and member has a website record. If you do not have your UserName and Password, use the link found on the sign in page of the website to request they be sent to you.www.ponyclub.org You must be a Corporate Member of USPC. REQUIREMENTS THAT SERVE TO PROTECT OUR MEMBERS AND VOLUNTEERS: Satisfactorily complete a Background Check. Complete the Youth Protection, Concussion and Heat Illness training modules.

BY-LAWS AND POLICY Refer to page 4-5 DC/CA Guide DC/CA Guide DC/CA Guide USPC ByLaws By-laws - a set of statements that establish the purpose and/or governance structure for an organization.  Supersede all other USPC documents (except for USPC’s Article of Incorporation). If there is any conflict the By-laws take priority. Policies - a definite course or method of action selected from among alternatives and in light of given conditions; guide and determine present and future decisions.  Governed by the By-laws which means they cannot conflict with the By-laws

7. The Riding Center and Policies  The CA must be familiar with the USPC By-Laws and By-Laws of Regions and National and Regional Policies and the terms of the signed contractual agreement with USPC.  The CA implements the policies and procedures of the USPC Board of Governors and of the Region that pertains to the Riding Center Program. * USPC By-laws and Policies can be found on the USPC web site using the “About Us” tab on the home page and selecting either By-law or Policy or use this link.link  Be sure to have a copy of the current Regional policies or know where you can find them. 8.  The CA reports to the Vice President of Regional Administration through the RS. Accountability and Reporting  The CA is accountable to the Regional Supervisor.

9. The Standards of Proficiency The Standards of Proficiency (SOP) form the basis of Pony Club's educational program. They provide a core curriculum for individualized instruction. Describe a clear progression of skills in riding and Horse Management. Provide opportunity for members to test against the Standards to achieve a certificate or certification as recognition for their level of skill. Provide opportunities for goal setting.
