3 What is EAM? Enterprise asset management (EAM) means the whole life optimal management of the physical assets of an organization to maximize value. It covers such things as the design, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance and decommissioning/replacement of plant, equipment and facilities. "Enterprise" refers to the management of the assets across departments, locations, facilities and, in some cases, business units. By managing assets across the facility, organizations can improve utilization and performance, reduce capital costs, reduce asset-related operating costs, extend asset life and subsequently improve ROA (return on assets). 4 Why Infor EAM? Life Extension - Life-cycle extension of an asset is the amount of time that an asset can be extended beyond the projected life expectancy. Capacity Factor - The capacity factor of a manufacturing facility is the amount of product that it produces over a period of time, divided by the amount of product it could have produced if it had run at full capacity over that time period. Equivalent Availability - The availability factor of a manufacturing facility is the amount of time that it is able to produce product over a certain period, divided by the amount of the time in the period. Quality - The quality factor of a manufacturing facility is the amount of product produced per unit consumed divided by the product produced utilizing 100% of the input. … these 4 factors directly impact expense and net income! “World Class” Asset Performance Management (APM) APM Factors World Class Availability 90.0% Capacity 95.0% Quality 99.9% Overall OEE 85.0% Copyright © Infor Global Solutions

6 Determinants for Calculating OEE
Overall Equipment Effectiveness = Availability x Performance x Quality Yield Availability = time available for production - downtime time available for production Performance = ideal cycle time x number of parts produced operating time Quality Yield = total number of parts produced - defect number total number of parts produced Copyright © Infor Global Solutions

These categories directly impact the primary operating facors; capacity, availability and quality. Depending on the EAM strategy pursued the correlating performance degradation causes can be addressed. Obviously Infor’s goals is for Market adoption of a comprehensive APM strategy. 19 Work Orders Create work orders for single or multiple pieces of equipment Assign priority and problem codes Create based on standard work orders Attach documents and pictures Capture complete internal and external costs Copyright © Infor Global Solutions Copyright © Infor Global Solutions

20 Preventive Maintenance
Attach activities, resources, and material lists Time-based and/or meter-based preventive maintenance Ability to “nest” preventive maintenance schedules Preventive maintenance routes Assign multiple equipment to a preventive maintenance schedule Create inspections and record results A subset of the work order management features, preventive maintenance uses “best practices” with expert knowledge of the assets under management to plan standard work order processes. This approach reduces the variable costs of maintaining assets associated with reactive maintenance practices. Copyright © Infor Global Solutions Copyright © Infor Global Solutions

21 Purchasing Integrated with work order functions to do “on-the-fly” requisitioning Customizable purchasing approval flow Ability to order parts or services Blanket purchase orders Purchase order receiving and supplier returns Support for e-record and e-signature Support for iProcure .
