Grade Level: 1st grade Summary: The purpose of this PowerPoint is to have the students understand details about the 5 incredible Oceans of our world. Objective: Given facts about the 5 oceans of our Earth, the students will be able to answer the questions displayed in the power point with 100% accuracy. Standard: Geography: In order for students to understand that geography influences the development of a region as well as the interactions between people and the environment, the geography content standards have been structured to be taught as an independent unit. Students will then utilize their geographic content knowledge and apply the skills within their study of continents Process and report information identifying, locating, comparing, and contrasting the major continents and Oceans: North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Australia, Asia, Antarctica, Arctic, Atlantic, Indian, Pacific, Southern using maps, globes, and other technologies.
