2 2 So why are we here? 1.To tell you about what life as a Cambridge student really is like (and I don’t just mean the academic side!) 2.To discuss some of our own experiences 3.To answer your questions!

3 The Work... 3 It is hard work! It is not impossible. Believe it or not – you will probably enjoy it! Very different from school/college People are there to help you out.

6 6 A day in the life of… 8am: Turn off alarm 8:45am: Get out of bed 8.55am: Jump on bike and to lecture! 11am: End of lectures – to library to find books for this week’s essay… 12.30: Lunch in canteen with friends 1.30pm: Back to library. 4:00pm: Down to the gym for rowing training! 6:00pm: House tea – everyone cooks. 8:30pm: Tea turns into DVD and a trip to the bar. 10:30pm: Read book (yep, it’s work!) in bed Charlotte Richer: English student

7 7 A day in the life of… 7.15am: Turn off alarm 7.30am: Run with friend. 8.45am: Walk to lectures 12am: Finish 3 hours of lectures - lunchtime 2pm: ‘Practical’ session in the lab 4:00pm: Finish lab, head home and get distracted by Desperate Housewives 5:00pm: Class with four other students 6:00pm: Go to the canteen for tea. 7:30pm: Attempt to write up my lab report. 8:30pm: Go with friends to an Open Mic night.
