Agenda Class next week in Kendade 203Kendade 203 GSLIS survey Reports and Communication (Class 10) Advocacy (Class 10) Simpson – Confidentiality & Ethics in the SLMC No Child Left Behind Project presentations Create-a-Library Next week: Building a Career Sample interview questions on wiki

Simpsonp. 56 “A confidentiality provision is not a blanket prohibition against service providers and school staff talking together to coordinate services. It is simply a protection against sharing information about a person over that person’s objection or sharing information that does not serve a specific purpose that is in a child’s or family’s interest” (Greenberg & Levy, 1992, 6.)

Wiki words “Something I wonder about is asking students about the books they are checking out just to talk to them about what they are reading. I have done that in the past and then I have wondered if I am just supposed to check out the book and not engage at all and sort of pretend I don’t notice what they are checking out.”

Wiki words “I know of some parents who do not allow their children to take books out of the school library because the parent doesn't want to have to worry about returning them. Any ideas about how to address this issue?”

Now the facility is completely cleaned, restored and wired for wi-fi, but it is completely empty. The administration wants you to build a vibrant, integrated, collaborative library program. You have unlimited financial and administrative support to turn the Zahtzerflotz Middle School Library from Slumpy to SLMPY. What will you do?
