2. Welcome to St. Peter! As we gather to worship this Fifth Sunday in Lent our lessons and hymns proclaim something wonderful: Jesus will raise us from death to life. On our Lenten walk to Calvary, we see the Savior in today’s gospel lesson come face to face with death and defeat it completely. May our Prayer of the Day be answered: Lord, help us remember that Jesus, who is the resurrection and the life, has made us heirs of eternal life and will one day raise our bodies!
