3 CE En 100A - Fall CE En 100 B – Winter CE En 200A – Fall CE En 200B – Winter CE En 300A – Fall CE En 300B – Winter CE En 400A – Fall CE En 400B – Winter DO NOT RETAKE ANY SEMINAR SECTION UNLESS YOU FAILED IT THE FIRST TIME!

4 CAEDEM accounts are created on the two computers outside of 423 CB. Follow the instructions to get your CAEDM username, email address and the door code to the CAEDM computer lab. RECORD THESE! Your CAEDM (et.) email address will be used by the department to send announcements, job and internship postings and service opportunities. Your et address can be forwarded to another email address.

5 Your grades are managed on Blackboard. Follow the links on Route Y.

6 You receive one point for each CE Department seminar and College lecture series you attend (that means the entire class period). Please be present on time and remain seated until the end of all Seminar\College Programs. Our guest presenters deserve this courtesy. All department seminars are in 377 CB. The college lectures are in 140 JSB.

7 You are required to keep notes covering all lectures and field trips. Notebooks will be collected at the end of the final seminar.

8 Print this form from the class website BEFORE going to see your faculty advisor. Return the signed form to Kerry. If she does not receive the form, you will not receive the points. Deadline: January 30 th, 2008

9 Chapter service and activity points are awarded on following basis. One point for each hour you spend working on an ASCE Service project. One point for each activity you attend. One point for every field trip. Only service projects and activities that are on the ASCE list qualify. Sign up for activities, trips, & service at www.et.byu.edu/groups/byuasce/index.php Don’t be caught between a rock and a hard place – get your hours done early!

10 To get full credit you must complete six hours in one of the following combinations: 5 Service Hours + 1 Field Trip 4 Service Hours + 1 Activity + 1 Field Trip 3 Service Hours + 2 Activities + 1 Field Trip Note that you must do a minimum of 3 service hours! Only service projects and activities that are on the ASCE list qualify. Sign up for activities, trips, & service at www.et.byu.edu/groups/byuasce/index.php Don’t be caught between a rock and a hard place – get your hours done early!

11 If you miss one or two Department seminars or College Lectures you may make up a maximum of two points by: Attending an ASCE Central Utah Branch meeting: one point per meeting.ASCE Central Utah Branch Attending Student Chapter activities including field trips, socials, etc: one point per activity. Working extra hours on chapter service projects: one point per hour of service performed.

12 Read the announcement sheet! This contains information regarding service opportunities, scholarships, course changes, and other important information from the department or ASCE Officers.

13 Your grade sheet must be completely filled out by 11:59 p.m. on Any changes made between April 22 nd and 11am, April 29 th must be done through Kerry, and will result in a penalty of ½ letter grade. If the record is not posted by 11am on April 29 th, you will receive an E grade. April 22 nd, 2009

14 Choose wisely, and honestly, in filling out your grade sheet. Is your integrity worth ½ a credit?
