2. Problem :  Pre-Construction Process:  To identify whether the present Pre-Construction Process is effective and adequate for the successful completion of D-B Projects as expected  Scoping  Preliminary Engineering  Procurement  Award of Contract

3. Objective :  To address the following: 1. What is encouraging the transportation agencies to use D-B Projects? 2. What are the different elements of pre-construction process and how they are related to successful completion of the D-B project 3. How effective and adequate is the present pre-construction process for D-B projects to achieve the desired results?

4. Methodology:  Research of the available materials and information  Interviews with D-B Project’s Managers locally  May conduct survey at later stage if decided to do so  Will try to answer the questions as mentioned in Objectives

5. Status of the Report  Until now- Abstract-completed & submitted  Collected some references, submitted 5  Interviewed two Project Managers  Planned to do- research for more references and information  Plan to talk to more PM  The final report will have 5 chapters and will be 40+ pages long.
