Step 2 – Solve multiplication and division from left to right Step 3 – Solve addition and subtraction from left to right

5 BIDMAS = 2 + 12 = 14 Example 1 2 + 3  4 Step 1 – No brackets
Step 2 – Multiply = 2 + 12 Step 3 – Add = 14

Step 1 – No brackets Step 2 – Multiply then divide = 2 + 12  2 = 2 + 6 Step 3 - Add = 8
