2 Clayton CANVAS Overview A site-based pilot prevention program contributing to: This program will saturate Clayton community with a range of initiatives targeting at-risk communities where they live, work, study and play. 2 Reducing gambling harm in ClaytonBuilding the resilience of community to gambling harm Increasing community participation in alternative recreational & educational activities De-stigmatising problem gambling to enable help-seeking

3 Clayton CANVAS At risk groups who are vulnerable to harm from poker machines & online/sports betting in Clayton 3 People of Asian backgrounds (especially young people)International StudentsOlder people experiencing social isolationPeople from low socio-economic backgroundsYoung males who play football and cricket

4 Clayton CANVAS The program is working closely with: Community organisations Gamblers Help services Youth services Local government (Mayor, Councillors and internal departments) Community leaders Monash University Local short-term loan agencies Local businesses Poker Machine venues. 4
