3 Single Window Model Single Window is an intelligent facility: Simplify border formalities for traders and other economic operators Involves single electronic submission of information Fulfills all cross-border regulatory requirements Standardized Procedures across agencies Harmonized Data A tool for Trade Facilitation.

Provide on-line, web-based facility to submit applications for import/export licenses and permits and receive clearance from government agencies without replication of data entry Provide online facility for Customs to receive import, export and transit declaration online as a single submission

11 FAQ What do I require to use TradeLink?
Workstation with Internet connection Scanner (pdf format) Register with TradeLink – Single Submission of business information and upload common documents Do we still have to apply for permit for control goods? Yes, but the government has reduced the no. of controlled items. Moreover the application of permit will be done fully electronically Do we still have to go at different agencies to submit documents and make payments? No, it will be single submission of documents through TradeLink which will be delivered to all concerning agencies at one time. For payment, it will be done electronically Date:

12 FAQ Can I check and track status of the permit?
Yes, online tracking functionalities will be available as you log in to the system Do I need agency clearance on goods arrival? Yes for the time being but the intention is to integrate with Customs clearance in collaboration with the leading agency. A fast track mechanism will be in place. Date:
