2 Claim When making a claim you need to make sure you: Address the question directly. Do so briefly and yet boldly This of this as a topic sentence that is targeted at the question

3 Evidence When writing, your opinion will not always be enough. Remember (evidence vs. anecdote) You need to provide: Examples, data, proven facts to make your claim and your essay valid. Otherwise it is just a blog post amongst millions

4 Reasoning For this element your task should be to remove all assumptions. Walk your reader exactly where you want them to go. Explain how your evidence and claim are connected and how they develop an answer to the major question.

5 Rebuttal Facing disagreement is inevitable. The best defense for arguing your critics is to know their side of the issue. Understand their side of the issue. So that you can better break down their arguments thereby strengthening your stance.

6 C.E.R.R. Possible Questions Choose 1 How can religious diversity become a positive or conflict free reality? Why is something that claims to be as positive as religion so often involved with conflict?
