1. Jane Eyre Dialectical Journals:
You will complete two separate dialectical journals as you read
First one is due on Tues, April 7 (Ch 1-19)
The second one is due on Fri, May 1 (Ch 20-38)
Each one must have twelve entries; you do not have to include every chapter. (you might write two entries from Chapter 2 and none from Chapter 3)
Due at the beginning of class

2. On the left side, under Textual References, you must have a combination of the following literary elements:
Metaphors
Symbols
Archetypes (hero’s journey and characters)
Biblical allusions figures of speech
Gothic elements
Irony
Flashback
foreshadowing

3. On the right hand side under Response, follow the format for the Dialectical Journal handout
