AN INDIVIDUAL SERVICE FUND Without the responsibilities people get benefits of Direct Payments Transparency and accountability Budget used only for your needs Planning = Flexibility = changes as life changes = outcomes = good life People and families take control of their lives and services Regardless of ability to manage it A continuum To offer EVERYONE the chance to have their own budget

Came to Thistle in CRISIS - 24 hour support Callum thrives when given responsibility and is not being labelled as disabled Loves LOUD Music Loves buildings like Empire State Building and the Pyramids and wants to travel LOVES CARS Wants to Get fit

14 Callum’s Individual Service Fund The Plan Reducing Staff – Callum and the team working out how to help him stay safe – big leap! - service redesign- 27 HOURS A WEEK NOW! Callum wants Friends – circle facilitation CAR VALLETING BUSINESS – planning for this now ready to go! SOUNDPROOFING! For the house so I can play my music and still get on with the neighbours Driving Lessons – Callum is car mad! Personal Trainer - Callum has a personal trainer uses the gym and has lost 2 stone!! Working on improving written skills – tutor at home! Working out how to get help when needed from a neighbour and friend – rather than staff! Counselling Callum learning from experience and sharing his story
