3 General goal 3 The B2MoS Action is an innovative study which takes the form of pilot actions principally aimed at preparing and adapting business communities and port authorities’ systems to the requirements of Directive 2010/65/EU, providing interoperable electronic documents and messages (ie. electronic sea waybill) intending to boost the efficiency of door-to-door MoS supply chains, facilitating intra-Community trade and increasing European territorial cohesion.

Trade and Transport Facilitation Initiatives in MoS Activity 2 intends to facilitate trade and promote the use of MoS by removing obstacles to intra-Community freight transport by sea and piloting IT solutions to increase cohesion and facilitate trade with peripheral and ultra-peripheral regions. 11 ACTIVITY 3. Support for Regulation Compliance Systems in MoS In close cooperation and tight coordination with the process developed by the Commission expert group coordinating the implementation of Directive-2010/65/EU on reporting formalities for ships and the emerging EU e- Maritime initiative and with other TEN-T Actions supported by Maritime and Customs Administrations of the EU Member States and dealing with the creation of the National Single Windows, B2MoS intends to prepare certain pilot actions that will assist port authorities, port community systems and business stakeholders systems to efficiently comply with the requirements of Directive-2010/65/EU and with new National Single Windows. Communication GOAL: Enabling MoS business stakeholders, port communities, port authorities, transport policy-makers and EU citizens to understand and decide which technologies and potential solutions generate the best socio-economic value, help to increase MoS competitiveness to the largest extent and have the highest potential for rapid deployment across the EU. 2 Information Days: B2MOS Mid Term Conference on 30-31 October 2014 and Final Info-Day Conference in Brussels in Fall 2015 Public demonstrations of initiatives piloted in Activity 2 Public demonstrations of national pilots concerning Activity 3 Activities 15
