2 Aim: How can we formulate the body paragraphs for our argumentative essay? In an argumentative essay, the body paragraphs must give reasons and evidence to support the claim you made in the introduction.

7 CHECKLIST ❏ I have one reason in each body paragraph. ❏ I mentioned the title of the article in the first paragraph. ❏ I have at least two pieces of evidence to support each reason. ❏ For my evidence, I used direct quotes AND paraphrased. ❏ I wrote the page number in parentheses after a direct quote. ❏ I explained the evidence. ❏ I reread the paragraph to make sure it does not sound choppy.
