Chapter 11 Invertebrates Project 7 TH GRADE SCIENCE FEBRUARY 2015

Decide on a format  Decide if you will be writing on ruled paper, blank paper or typing/printing on the computer.  Write notes or drafts in your Science notebook first. Avoid cross-outs and typos on final project.

Bring your Supplies Daily  Rubric  Supply of paper  Notebook/rough drafts  Colored pencils/crayons/markers

Due Date and Completion of Pages  The SOFT Due Date for the Final Project is March 6, 2015. (Subject to change to a later date if needed)  Some of the topics listed on the rubric may actually take two days to complete. You must at minimum keep up with the pacing of the class.  If you wish, you may work ahead of the schedule listed on the rubric. Feel free to check in with me if you have any questions about future days’ work.

Page Numbering  Write/draw on the front side of the paper only.  Keep the numbering for the topics the same as listed on the rubric. If a topic takes up multiple pages, then add a letter after the number. For example, 1a, 1b, 1c.  Write the “Page Number” on the bottom right of the page.

References and Plagiarism  Most of the information for this project will be found in Chapter 11 of your textbook.  You may use other books or the Internet to find information or pictures.  Be sure to write your own sentences. Do not copy sentences word for word from the textbook or Internet. This is considered “plagiarism”.

Guiding Questions  Guiding questions for each topic will be presented in class daily and also posted on my website.  At minimum, you must be completing the guiding questions presented in class. Write the answers in your notebook. Going ahead of schedule is fine.  I will not always give a hint on the page number to find the answers.
