1 Design & Development of the POSSE Website Anthony Vu, Marina Vildoso, Ellen Rose, & Lori Fitterling

2 The Posse Non-profit women’s support group Ten women who met at a divorce group Have been meeting weekly for two years History of name, Posse Want to share their experiences about divorce with others who might be in the same situation Would like a website that they can provide information for others Target audience is women who are going through divorce or separation

3 Interview Questions What is the name of your group Who are the members of your group How did your group developed? What is the history? What information would you like to have on your website? Is there any specific type of format that you would like to use on your website? Is there any specific format that you would like? Do you want any pages purpose of your website secured? What should the main purpose of your website be? Do you know of any websites that you would like to link to (divorced women support group?) When would you like this website to be operational?

4 Client Information needs Each member would like to be able to contribute and share what they have learned Want a section where users make comments They also want a section that is for members only They want a page to post jokes and funny stories, self help books and articles, healthy recipes, exercise routines, encouraging stories and phrases. They want to have a secured login to post pictures and information just for the members

5 Goals Goal is to empower women to make the best of a difficult situation Continuously update website and release new information Want feedback from users, comments

6 Project General Description Goal – To create a website that reflects the goals and mission of the Posse Scope – To reach women who are separated or divorced and provide information to help them through this period. Budget – Cost to design website, host, maintain Technical Requirements – Software to manage the content of website

8 Proposal: Timeline Sep. 24 we met with Posse Sep. 25 info pushed out to all group members Oct. 13 prototype completed Oct. 14 project proposal sent to Dr. Tang Nov. 11 website reaches final draft form Nov. 12 sitemap completed Nov. 14 group for f2f Nov. 22 feedback received from Posse Nov. 29 adjustments made; website completed
