2. INNOVATION My vision for the 2011-12 MS-MBA Association: Inclusiveness must first begin with our own membership. I envision monthly general membership meetings where we alert MS-MBA students to activities being planned, ask for volunteers, and make sure that if they want to be active – they have a place. We are all the spokespeople for this program and the first step is to be informed and feel included. WE ARE ALL A PART OF SOMETHING SPECIAL! I believe that the board membership must have an active voice in the calendar for the Association. Working meetings every other week will allow for ideas to be floated around, innovative ways to approach annual events brainstormed, tasks to be shared, and concerns to be discussed. We co-sponsor some of the program’s high profile events and we all need to have a voice. WE ARE ALL A PART OF SOMETHING SPECIAL! In our world, technology crosses all club boundaries. I envision a year of inclusiveness of all clubs, led by us. I envision an innovative monthly guest speaker program, co-sponsored each month by a different student club. Examples may include a collaboration with the Marketing Club for a digital marketing speaker; Net Impact for a clean tech speaker; Finance Club for a speaker on enterprise system solutions for the finance industry. We are being trained to lead so let’s lead. WE ARE ALL A PART OF SOMETHING SPECIAL! INCLUSIVENESS

3. INNOVATION INCLUSIVENESS Why Me: I believe that every person holds within themselves an exceptional talent. A team is built through this belief, and the strength of a leader to recognize each person’s talent and allow each voice to be heard. Only then, is a team truly able to be a team. I bring over a decade of experience in leading teams of people to produce high profile events of all types: conferences, networking events, fundraisers, and concerts. I’ve worked with boards of several organizations in various roles and understand intimately the nature of coordinating several personalities with varying degrees of commitment. I have been active in this year’s MS-MBA Association as a first-year representative and co-chaired TechConnect 2011 with the event chair, Eunnie Park. I have been on a TechTrek and volunteered at the Tech Strategy Competition. I believe I understand the Association, the needs of our class, and the role that the Association can have on the school and the MS-MBA program. We are truly a part of something special and I believe that I have the leadership skills necessary to transition us to a grand future for our class, the class of 2013, and for the future of the MS-MBA Association.
