3 CSUSB will continue to declare campus-wide impaction for first- time freshmen for 2011-2012. High schools located within CSUSB’s defined local admission area will be admitted based on the minimum standard CSU admission requirements. Please refer to CSUSB Admissions website for eligibility index, local and non-local admission area and admission updates at http://admissions.csusb.eduhttp://admissions.csusb.edu Local Admission Areas (includes specific school districts within San Bernardino and Riverside counties) San Bernardino County School Districts Apple Valley, Chaffey, Colton, Fontana, Hesperia, Morongo, Redlands, Rialto, Rim of the World, San Bernardino City, Victor Valley and Yucaipa. Riverside County School Districts Banning, Beaumont, Coachella Valley, Desert Sands, Jurupa Valley, Moreno Valley, Palm Springs and Riverside

4 Submit application during application priority filing period and meet all transcript, confirmation deposit of $100, Early Start Program (ESP), and document deadlines. Students should check their campus e-mail account regularly for important information from CSUSB. Attend CSUSB Presentation, Application Workshop, Financial Aid Workshop or CSUSB Open House event on Oct. 29, 2011 for information and assistance. Don't forget to submit AP/IB scores and to take EPT/ELM placement exams early. Remember when a student is first admitted it's on a provisional or conditional basis and they must meet all admission requirements with their final transcript!

5 The B.S.N. program is impacted and only admits new students in Fall and Winter quarters. Nursing website: http://nursing.csusb.edu/ http://nursing.csusb.edu/ Nursing accepts 88 B.S.N. students each year (supplemental application required). Deadlines for Nursing Admission applications are: Fall quarter - January 1 st – March 1 st. Winter quarter - September 1 st - October 1 st Pre-Nursing advising sessions is mandatory (Freshman will receive this during SOAR). Palm Desert Campus accepts 22 B.S.N. students every Fall term.

6 The B.A.S.W. program is impacted and admits new students only in Fall quarter (supplemental application required). Social Work accepts 50 B.A.S.W. students each Fall. Deadline to apply for Fall is the last Friday of April. Application packet available to download at http://socialwork.csusb.edu/. http://socialwork.csusb.edu/ B.A.S.W. Admission Information Sessions available (not required) and freshman will receive pre-social work advising during SOAR.

7 The Kinesiology concentration in Pre-Physical Therapy (PPT) is impacted. Applications for Fall will begin on March 1 st - May 1 st of each academic year. Kinesiology PPT students can start any academic quarter and should declare their major as Kinesiology “undeclared” concentration. 8 After a student submits their application to CSUMentor, they will receive the following e-mail: – Application Acknowledgment e-mail containing their Coyote ID and instructions on activating their MyCoyote account and campus e-mail. Check MyCoyote account often Check CSUSB e-mail often Remember to submit all admission requests by their established deadlines Attend mandatory SOAR in July

9 Local Area admission notifications sent via e-mail begin in November/December. Non-Local Area admission notifications sent via e-mail begin in January. Second reviews begin in January/February, when 7 th semester transcripts are received. Final admission decisions notifications begin in May/June, once final transcripts/documents are received. EOP applications have rolling deadlines (Special Admissions). ESP Registration – Requires all incoming FTF who have not demonstrated proficiency in English and/or Math to begin remediation prior to their admit term. – ELM/EPT must be taken as early as possible. – Students may complete Early Start at CSUSB, other CSUs or CCCs. – CSU San Bernardino will communicate with students about their requirement to participate in Early Start Program.

10 April/May – EPT/ELM must be taken May 1 st – Confirmation deposit of $100 due June 1 st – Register for ESP July 15 th – Deadline for all documents – Final High School transcripts, test scores, application fee, residency documents, etc. All admission requirements must be completed by the end of Spring Semester (no make-up work in summer). Specific questions and appeals may be referred to the Associate Directors in the Office of Admissions & Student Recruitment. Winter and spring quarters are subject to space availability and budget.
