2 Objectives: At the end of this instruction, you will be able to: –Access your network storage drive –Create folders in that drive –Save files to that drive with similar naming conventions –Access saved files for future use

4 Accessing your drive Click on the icon for “My Computer” Daniel’s Storage (H:) Find and click on your personal named drive Icons used under non-commercial license from IconSeeker.com

5 Creating Folders Click on the “File” option in the menu and select the “New Folder” option Then, name the folder to keep files of similarity together Image by Flickr user Accretion Disk, Used under Creative Commons

6 Saving Files to Drive In the program you have created a file, select the “Save As” function and navigate to the folder you created: English 1 Select that folder and click “Save” *Note: It is very helpful to use a similar naming system to keep files organized. 7 Accessing Files from Drive Open “My Computer” Open your network drive Open folder where file was saved Find the file you want and double click on it
