ANSWERING THE COMMENTS AND QUESTION OF ONE OF OUR VIEWERS When one, by faith in Christ, obeys His word and is baptized, regeneration or purification of the soul occurs! –2 Corinthians 5:17 - At the moment we are in Christ, we are new creatures. –Sinners were told to believe, not wait for the Holy Spirit in order to be able to believe! - cf. Acts 16:30-32; 8:5-6. 2 Cor. 7:10 - Repentance is prompted by godly sorrow for one’s sin. Rom. 10:17 - Faith is produced by contact with the word of God. –By use of the word He revealed, the Holy Spirit produces faith and repentance within man. Faith and repentance are separate actions, both of which are necessary for salvation.

11. Prove To Me That Baptism Is ESSENTIAL TO SALVATION! Baptism is as much a COMMAND OF GOD as: –FAITH IN GOD ---- Heb. 11:6 –BELIEF In CHRIST ---- John 8:24 –REPENTANCE ---- ACTS 2:38a. –CONFESSION ---- Romans 10:9-10 BAPTISM STANDS BETWEEN YOU AND BEING IN CHRIST: GALATIANS 3:36-27 BAPTISM STANDS BETWEEN YOU AND BEING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD: John 3:5

12. WHY DO YOU TEACH THAT ALL ARE BORN WITH SIN SIN IS THE GREAT SEPARATOR. Isa. 59:2-7 James 1:14-15 shows that lust draws a person away. Let me emphasize further what Ezekiel says in Ezekiel 18:4, "The soul that sinneth, it shall die.“ Jesus in Luke 18:15-16 has infants brought to him (it is notable that Luke says "infants"). –He declares simply that "of such is the kingdom of God.“

13. “CAN WE LOSE OUR SALVATION?” Revelation 2:10b - Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. (KJV) Matthew 10:22 - And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. Hebrews 3:6 - But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. (KJV) Hebrews 3:14 - For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end. (KJV)

14. WHAT DOES JOHN 3:16 REALLY TEACH? Let us say that John 3:16 does not teach: –BELIEF ALONE DOES SAVE. –THAT WE DO NOT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING SINCE GOD HAS DONE IT ALL. –THAT ETERNAL LIFE CANNOT BE LOST ONCE ONE BELIEVES IN CHRIST

15. WHAT DO THE SCRIPTURES TEACH ABOUT “FREE WILL”? Deuteronomy 30:15-20 – “…But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away..” Joshua 24:14-15 - choose for yourselves Matthew 23:37 - but you were not willing! SIN IS THE VIOLATION OF GOD’S LAW – I JOHN 3:4

16. WHY DO CHRISTIANS FEEL THE NEED TO TOLERATE OTHER RELIGIONS WHEN WE SEE FROM SCRIPTURES THAT GOD DOES NOT? Acts 4:12 - “Neither is there salvation in any other..” Eph. 5:6-11 – “… And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” Matthew 15:13 – “But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.”

17. Is The “ONENESS DOCTRINE” A Scriptural Teaching? This doctrine had a wrong starting place --- California. This doctrine had a wrong starting time --- 1913-1914. This doctrine has the wrong starting person --- John G. Scheppe. This doctrine has the wrong means of Authority --- Direct Revelation

18. WHY DO YOU TEACH THAT SALVATION IS BY GRACE ALONE AND NOT BY WORKS? "I know your works " (Rev. 2:2) "I know your works " (Rev. 2:9) "I know your works " (Rev. 2:13) "I know your works " (Rev. 2:19) "I know your works " (Rev.3:1) "I know your works " (Rev. 3:8) "I know your works " (Rev. 3:15) Ready to every good work (Tit. 3:1; Tit. 3:8) Eph. 2:10, Tit. 2:14 - unto good works

19. IS IT ENOUGH TO BE SIMPLY A CHRISTIAN? (Or should we be part of a denomination?) The seeds of denominationalism can be found in the church at Corinth. (I Cor.1:10-13) “..and prayed that they would be one, even as He and the Father are one” (John 17:20-23). The only basis upon which we can hope for that kind of unity is to determine to follow only the truth revealed in God’s word. (John 17:17; John 8:31-32)
