3 What is the Moon? The moon is the Earth’s only Satellite. It takes the moon about a month (28 days) to revolve around the Earth. The moon has no atmosphere and is similar in size to the Earth.

4 What is the Moon’s Surface Made of? The moon’s surface is like an old paved road with potholes, an uneven surface, and faded spots. The moon’s surface is made of: Mountains Valleys Craters (holes made from space objects hitting the surface) Volcano sites
