Sports Paper Overview The IT paper talks about how baseball has changed over past years GM’s have been introduced to new technology that helps to organize their systems of analyzing players in the farm, college and high school The paper also discusses the new type of method GM’s use which is known as Sabermetrics, Billy Beane is the best known for using this method

Sabermetrics Method of rating players in baseball Billy Beane is the most well known GM’s for using this method The method teaches GM’s to look for players that are able to get on base by way of hit or walk On-base % is better to produce run’s than a player with a good average, that’s the way sabermetric method works Method helps to determine who the real 10 million dollar player is

6. IT The information technology is a system that organizes all the data that teams have on every player The system will have an analysis of every player in the minor league system The system also will have a section for all collegiate and high school players that have potential to get drafted

Batter Pro This is a new unique training system introduced in just over 3 years ago The system is a virtual screen that shows the actual pitcher throwing the ball I was able to face it once and it was very interesting, I got to face the image of Roger Clemens What the machine does is it shows the pitching going throw the wind up and as the he throws the ball the machine spits the ball out of a hole right where the pitcher would release it
