26 Current Operations – –USAR resources sent to St. Lucie were sent home –ESF 10 responding to Cargill phosphate seepage –EPA/USCG have resources on standby to assist. –3 DMATs deployed: Martin Memorial Hospital (south); Palm Beach County (Jupiter Medical Center & Palm Beach Garden Medical Center) –8 DMATs either staged or on alert. Florida Teams not activated at this time –Requested deployment of 165 nurses for special needs shelters. –2 DMORTS on alert. –1 VMAT on alert. –54 Special Needs Shelters open with 5613 residents. –3474 patients/residents evacuated from 99 health care facilities.

27 Emergency Services Current Operations (continued) – –Responding to the county requests for medical staff and health related supplies and equipment. –Coordinating with FEMA in the deployment strategy for DMATs and the need for additional DMAT resources. –Assessing the storm damage to the medical facilities in the storm path. –Assisting the continued deployment of special needs shelters. 28 Emergency Services Up next – Human Services Future Operations – –ESF 16 will continue to fulfill missions as tasked –Continued evaluation of the health care infrastructure damage due to the storm. –Response to local health care services experiencing surge capacity overload. –Deployment of overhead assessment and response teams following the path of the storm. –Determination of preventative health care measures. –1st USAR contingent will go in to Brevard County at 1st light. –Volusia County will perform their own evaluation and inform if resources necessary

30 Up next – Infrastructure Current Operations – –Request for 200 Meals at Jefferson County Shelter, Trying to locate a provider. –Cots for Taylor County are in Lakeland, delivery being held up due to storm conditions –Six hour delay on delivery of Food, Water and Ice to Brevard, Indian River, St. Lucie, Marting, Volusia, and Palm Beach Counties due to weather conditions. Estimated ETA 1200 Hours. –Action Request For Assistance has been placed for Tarps Unmet Needs – –Being addressed as identified Future Operations – –Post event staging/ distribution of Mass Care/ food, water, and ice to affected population –-Long term sheltering –-Handling of animal injuries/ casualties from the storm –-Coordination of volunteers and donations with affected counties

32 Up next – Military Support Infrastructure Current Operations – –Identifying and mobilizing recon, impact assessment and PDA assets –Monitoring fuel availability and re-supply along evacuation routes –Developing Bulk Fueling plans for LSA’s and County Emergency Ops –Identifying fuel resources to support local response operations –Identifying and mobilizing telecom resources to support state and local response operations to include LSA setup and activations –Sandbag requests supported –3,306,648 customers identified as out of power so far (see msg 1549) –Coordinating bulk fuel shipments to county and state units Unmet Needs – –Diesel and gasoline fuel Future Operations – –Continue to monitor transportation, electricity, fuel and telecom systems

34 Up next – Logistics Military Support Current Operations – –4125 Soldiers and Airmen activated –Task Force 53rd (TF-53rd) (South) –Units are actively working affected areas –Task Force 83rd (TF-83rd) (North) –Units have moved to support LSA’s –RECON elements deployed –Working 17 EMAC's with 10 states –LNOs have been assigned to Panhandle EOCs Unmet Needs – –None at this time Future Operations – –Conduct Security, Search and Rescue and Humanitarian Missions –Units prepared to support operational needs in Pan Handle Area –Working closely with NG in other States for emerging requirements

36 Current Operations – –Resources at Lakeland LSA secured for storm impact –Additional equipment inventory en route –Proposed LSA #1: –South Florida Fairgrounds- Verbal Ok received for use of 52,000 sq. ft. East Expo Bldg. (adjoining open special needs shelter), includes use of 10 outlaying buildings of varying sizes and approximately 50 acres of open ground space. –1200 person base camp to be located at this site. –Proposed LSA #2: –Orlando Executive Airport- Contract pending (includes clause prohibiting media access). Approved use of 4,000 sq. ft. of DOH leased space as well as 60,000 additional sq. ft. of leased DEM space once contract is completed. Airport also approved use of east side paved ramp space and 'back gate' for truck movement. –1200 person base camp to be located at this site.

37 Logistics Current Operations (conti –Proposed LSA #3: –Kmart Regional Distribution Center- Verbal approval for yard space only. Quote coming from vendor to erect structure on site equal to 100,000 sq. ft. Vendor indicates this amount is avail. for shipping immediately. Separate vendor identified for teams to erect structure on arrival. –800 person base camp to be located at this site. –Additionally, County EM directors in Orange, Marion and Palm Beach counties have been advised of proposed locations and timetable. –Preliminary LSA site support needs are being assessed and procured in advance of set up along with emergency contact numbers for suppliers.
