2 2 Objectives 1.Youth and adults will learn how to brainstorm and generate new ideas. 2.Youth and adults will engage in positive discussions about how to make an impact on their local community through service. 3.4-H Clubs will identify community needs and develop creative solutions.

3 3 Brainstorming Is a technique used to gather a large quantity of ideas. No idea generated during brainstorming is a bad idea. Supplies you will need include: –Flip chart paper –Markers –Index cards –Stickers/dots –Newspaper (Optional) –List of local service organizations (Optional)

6 Generating new ideas How can we expand these ideas? What is a new twist on an idea? 6

7 Selecting a community service project Everyone gets three stickers. Place your stickers next to 3 ideas you would like to see your club conduct. 7
