2 TLCentre improvement points  Points based on the questionnaire  most of the ideas are implemented or under development  Points based on partner feedback and discussions  these aim more at the details of the TLCentre as users are more acquainted with the TLCentre  Feedback from the transnational seminar in Nantes (Deborah)  some good points to discuss

3 Questionnaire points 1/2  include more resources and update existing ones   all partners to update old resources  criteria for selecting resources from Deborah  have links to similar resource pools in other countries   please send me any resource pools you know  more interactivity   partly done, more interactivity will be achieved though the animated graphics interface (Nancy)  more visual (use of graphs)  the menu system should be improved  a lot of information on ID cards – sometimes hard to extract  connect the scenarios to the resources   will be partly achieved with the mini scenarios  existing scenarios are old and refer to the TT-Centre

4 Questionnaire points 2/2  help on the actions that can be performed   help page exists – improve with screenshots  some bubble help exists – need more  search option on intended end user  forums and communication between users  have decided NOT to have forums in the TLCentre apart from the user comments on resources  RSS feeds   information on new resources (title, type, description, keywords, link in TLCentre)  personal page  able to see which TLCentre users are experts to a particular resource   need to develop the structure (middle of November)

5 Partner feedback  request for some more ‘official’ keywords’ (activity, interaction, course, multimedia, evaluation, analysis)  hard to find resources based on keywords  nice to have new keywords added to the ‘official’ list  improve error messages on login  rename ‘teacher training material’ to ‘teaching and learning materials’  new ‘intended end user’ types: RESEARCHER, EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIST  impact on the animated graphics interface  combine ‘University’ and ‘Higher Education’ in context type  see person who has submitted a resource in ID card  from the ‘community’ page being able to see ‘resources submitted by’  design of TLCentre 

6 Feedback from the seminar in Nantes  design not really attractive (colours, buttons)  MATTEO I LIKE THE DESIGN!  we found the search tool a bit misleading at the beginning  see first comment from Deborah below  some tools don’t have the correct keywords or not complete keywords  any examples? how to improve the keyword concept in general (second comment from Deborah)  resource list could have not just keywords but also a short description  list would be extremely long  not finding information in my language (from a Lithuanian or a Latvian)  can we afford this? Deborah’s comments:  observing the users, I noticed that they all started to put keywords in the ‘title’ text field.  they also used the suggested keywords function a lot – again, something we can maybe work on further. How about making it more ‘modern’, like a tag cloud?

7 Action Plan  animated graphics interface  finalise mini-scenarios!  finalise and integrate into TLCentre (could we connect to DB?)  criteria and instructions for updating/adding resources  finalise and integrate into TLCentre  update resources in the TLCentre  links to similar resource pools in other countries  send any known links  implement RSS feeds (showing last 10 resources?)  implement structure to show experts  TLCentre users select which resources they are experts at  implement any other points from partner feedback  send feedback on TLCentre usage (actions that don’t work as expected)  Resource keywords – tag cloud?  include/improve user help  let know which points need to have instructions for the user  GET MORE USERS (currently around 50)
