2 What do you think this woman is dressed for? HINTS:  She is dressed for a special occasion.  For Americans, this ceremony is generally in a church.  American woman also wear a headpiece on this special day.  Traditionally, American woman wear a white dress on this day. Wishham Bride

4 Breastplates The rods on a breastplate are traditionally made from bone hairpipe or buffalo horn. Breastplates were originally worn as armor by Plains warriors, but today they are only worn for ceremonial purposes by Indian men.

5 Moccasins MMoccasins were worn by all Native American tribes. CClick on the red dots and observe how the moccasins differ from tribe to tribe. Can you explain why the moccasins would vary from tribe to tribe?

6 Materials Used In Clothing Clothing is made from buckskins or other animal skins and furs Head pieces are made using feathers Beads are commonly used in necklaces, headpieces, and even clothing. Some beads are made from animal bones such as bear claws
