3 e-Portfolios in Education “A portfolio is a purposeful collection of student work that exhibits the student's efforts, progress, and achievements in one or more areas. The collection must include student participation in selecting content, the criteria for selection, the criteria for judging merit, and evidence of student self-reflection.” – Northwest Evaluation Association

4 The Need at NAU’s COE Original motivating factors were quite positivist in nature. e-Portfolios were seen as a way to efficiently collect program assessment data in support of future accreditation efforts. 9 TaskStream is used by… K-12 Students (Reflect Initiative) Teacher-Education Students Professional Teachers Student Teachers Administrators In addition, several AZ institutions have implemented, or plan to implement, TaskStream as an electronic portfolio tool, including: ASU, ASU-West, U of A, Maricopa Community College, and University of Phoenix.
