Title XIII of the Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA) of 2007 established a national framework for Smart Grid adoption American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 authorized funds ($4.5B) for implementation of Smart Grid programs Regions, Utilities, and other electric power system stakeholders are accelerating plans to deploy smart grid programs
