5 5 First Steps Master Agreement Certifications and Assurances - Applicable certs & assurances and the master agreement will need to be submitted within 90 days from the date of publication of the notice or with the recipient’s first grant application in a new fiscal year, whichever comes first Federal Transit Administration

7 7 Grants are the mechanism by which FTA administers funding to grantee agencies

10 10 Grantee Responsibilities Grantees are responsible for administration and management of the grant in compliance with the grant agreement and applicable FTA Circulars and Regulations This includes (among other things): - providing administrative and management support of project operations - ensuring compliance with FTA requirements - maintaining project schedules - equipment and facility maintenance Federal Transit Administration

12 12 Federal Transit Administration Grantee Responsibilities Grant & Financial Management Financial Management ECHO (Electronic Clearing House Operation) is a computer based application that processes drawdown request and makes payments to FTA grantees

15 15 Federal Transit Administration Grantee Responsibilities Grant & Financial Management Financial Status Reports (FSRs) FSRs are done in TEAM quarterly or annually depending on the grant program and the FTA Region
