4. Introduction Have you ever considered that it would be great to be able to: Have access to your home directory from every PC you happen to work at Every time you turn on the computer you work on at any place you’ll have environment restored from the last session.

5. Existing solutions goToMyPC software network solution that allows remote access to your PC. Disadvantages: High price (around 20$ per month) Works through internet connection (additional expenses for the internet rates and slowdown of speed) No hibernation possible

6. Existing solution (cont.) OS dependant solution: Windows XP – hibernation option. saves everything in memory on your hard disk and when you restart the computer, your desktop is restored exactly as you left it before exiting the computer: exists solely for Windows XP no transfer of data to another PC.

7. Existing solution (cont.) “Save settings” option on some versions of Linux OS. Allows partial restoration of working environment. Disadvantages: Only limited restoration of settings. No transfer of data beyond the local network.

8. Our vision As we have seen no one of the existing products offers a complete solution to satisfy our goal. Our idea: Our idea: to combine hibernation option that works on any PC with the possibility of accessing your working directory from every computer.

9. Our Product HiberSnail HiberSnail- this is our program and the name implies combining feeling at home at any computer and hibernating option of restoring your desktop environment. This software is supposed to be installed on USB flash drive (Pen drive), and this drive will serve as a portable home directory.
