10 Light Source/Detector Luciferin - emits light Wavelength range: 268nm to 537nm Photomultiplier Tube (PMT) Detects wavelength range from 185nm to 680nm Effective area 4mm x 20mm

11 Light Efficiency/Path Length Commercial application has a.25 cm path length Our light path length is about 3cm to 5cm Light goes to the mirror and reflects up to the PMT Loss of light due to vertical arrangement To minimize loss of light, add mirrors
