7. Leeds for Life: Outputs for Sept ’08 By September 2008, phase 1 of the project will have: Identified opportunities available for all students on taught programmes both within and outside Schools Designed and built a web resource for students making explicit the opportunities and support available Developed and introduced a personal tutoring model which provides a minimum level of academic support to all taught students regardless of their discipline Reviewed and agreed a way forward on an electronic mechanism for capturing and sharing skills Provided examples of good practice on how to motivate and engage students to build an academic community from the start of Year 1

8. Leeds for Life: Online survey An online survey has been designed to: Help DoLTs identify opportunities provided at school level which will help students develop the skills and attributes which define a Leeds graduate Provide information for a web resource for students which will be available from September ’08 Process Online survey piloted in Law and Civil Engineering Will be circulated to all DoLTs on 18 th March Deadline for completion 30 th April

9. Leeds for Life: Next steps Agreeing and editing content for website Development of structure and branding for the website Pilot in School of Humanities to explore tools in VLE to capture and share skills development Review and implementation of a more consistent personal tutoring model within Schools Promotion of ‘Building an academic community within a discipline’ under the Leeds for Life badge for Sept ’08 induction
